Army Conduct was very good and pocessed two good conduct badges and was mention in the regt defaulters book five times, but never had been tried by court martial.
William was from Galway Ireland joined the Regt in August 1954 at the age of 14 noted age as underage and as the Rank as Boy,then Lad, Drummer, Lad, Private, Corporal, and finally Sergeant.
He was discharged from service at the age of 27 in 1868.
